Cooking the perfect rice is a skill to master within many different types of cuisine, each requiring their own techniques passed down through generations. In this small group workshop, Kimya shares all the tips & tricks to preparing three major styles of Persian basmati rice: kateh, chelow, and pollow.
Kauai-grown vegetables & herbs, and saffron, will be infused into each basmati rice dish. You will see how each of these dishes are often the centerpiece of an Iranian meal, as you enjoy your creations for dinner. Homemade, Kauai-grown hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be provided, in addition to recipe cards for you to take home. $65 per guest.
